Located in an ancient eighteen-century building, the palace was recently renovated in compliance with its original structure and the will to provide the best to its guests.
If we could turn back time, we would see that Vicenza – as we know it today – was structured differently in the past. The origins of Antica Pusterla take us back in time to the ancient Vicenza and its sixteenth-century representation, the so-called ‘Pianta Angelica’.
Looking closely at the northern part of the map, you will see a small entrance – commonly known as Pusterula – that once connected the town with Contrà Pusterla, hence the name of the district. From the seventeenth-century onwards this area is known as “Quartiere San Marco” and nowadays it is one of the most elegant and luxurious district of the city.
Here - along the ruins of the old Borgo Pusterla - lies Antica Pusterla.
Coming from the crowded shopping streets of the city, Antica Pusterla welcomes you in a simple but sophisticated building with its neoclassical facade.
Walking through the distinctive portego you will reach the entrance: the venetian style flooring, the liberty stained glass, the ashlar and white stone basement are just some small hints of ancient times that you will see and learn about; the combination of high-tech domotic systems amidst a very refined and elegant context will ensure you a memorable and pleasant stay.
Enjoy some relaxing moments after a long work-day by spending some time in our quiet and classy patio.
